Top of Europe

Highlights

  • By train through Mount Eiger and Mount Mönch with stopovers «Eismeer» and «Eigerwand» to the highest railway station in Europe at 3454m
  • View to the high alpine landscape
  • Alpine sensational discovery tour
  • Sphinx overlooking the 22 kilometer long Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps and the Alps UNESCO heritage
  • Ice Palace 30 meters below the glacier

On 1 August 1912, after 16 years of construction, the first train went up on the roughly 10 kilometer route to Jungfraujoch. The construction of the Jungfrau Railway was a triumph of modern engineering. On the summit awaits us a high alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, the longest glacier in the Alps and the magical ice palace. We enjoy a spectacular view of the high alpine mountains and on some days we can even see all the way to the Black Forest.
