During a city tour of Lucerne, we get an overview of the city of lights, past and present. We explore the historic and the modern symbols of Lucerne – the Chapel Bridge with its Water Tower and the Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne (KKL) – the architectural masterpiece of the French architect Jean Nouvel. Along the Reuss River we are visiting the light-flooded baroque Jesuit church, the important Reusswehr and the oldest covered wooden bridge of Switzerland, the Mill Bridge. An absolute must on this tour through adorable Lucerne are parts of the unique old town with its fountains and magnificent old buildings with their fantastic façade-paintings (wall-paintings). At the end of this guided tour you can then decide yourself why Lucerne is called the «City of Lights».
